Yuymmy Gongura Pickle

Ingredients

  • Garlic - 5 clove
  • Red Chillies - 10 to 15
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 Tsp
  • Urad Dal - 1/2 Tsp
  • Gingelly Oil - 50ml
  • Gongura leaves - 1 Bunch
  • Asafoetida - 1 Pinch
  • Tamarind - Little
  • Sesame seeds - 1 Tsp
  • Coriander seeds - 1 Tsp
  • Salt - As required

Instructions

    1. Wash gongura leaves and spread it in a clean cloth. Allow it to dry for few minutes.

    2. Heat pan and add oil in it.Add red chillies, garlic, coriander seeds, urad dal, sesame seeds and saute it for a while. Switch off the stove and allow these things to cool down.

    3. Add oil in a pan and add gongura leaves. Saute it untill leaves become pulpy.

    4. Mix everything along with tamarind and salt in a mixer jar.

    5. Finally add tempering. Heat pan and add oil, mustard seeds and asafoetida. Pour this in the gongura mixture.
