Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup grated Zucchini - water squeezed
  • 1/2 cup crumbled paneer / cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup boiled & mashed sweet potato (Shakarkand / Sakkaravalli Kizhangu)
  • 2-3 tbsp besan / gram flour / kadalai maavu
  • 3 green chilies - finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp cumin / jeera powder
  • 1 tsp Punjabi Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp amchur powder / dry mango powder (or) lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • 8-10 pitted dates
  • 1/4 cup tamarind - seeds removed
  • 1 tbsp grated jaggery
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • black salt or regular salt - to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 and 3/4 cup water
