For gulab jamun first we have to make mawa / khoya out of powder milk. I shared so many other sweets also previously in minal's spice world like kalakand, rasgullas, ras malai , jalebi and so on
quite often it is also known with other names like milk cake, mishri mawa or qalaqand. particularly the other milk based sweets like, rasgulla, rasmalai, gulab jamun, kala jamun, gajar ka halwa with condensed milk, bread rasmalai and malpua recipe
I live in USA and finding good quality MAWA or KHOYA is not an easy task always. Some other Festive recipes from the blog are – Gujiya , Rasgulla and Rasmalai , Mini Gulab Jamuns , Besan ka Halwa and many more
Add ricotta cheese or Paneer + Milk Powder or Mawa Powder + Condensed Milk to the pan. Try Gulab jamun , rasgulla and Gujiya from the blog for the sweets
You may choose any kind of stuffing like mawa stuffing, milk powder stuffing, dry fruit stuffing. Addition of arrowroot powder gives it a firm texture unlike the rasgulla
Rasgullas from Saalepur , Gur baked rasgullas , sumptuous rabdi, crispy hot jalebis steeped in sugar syrup, Big fat gulab jamuns calling out to be devoured, lighter than air sandesh and the best to eat , the innocuous but ever present, humble little milk fudge pedas
also add mawa /khova / khoya to make carrot halwa more rich and tasty. particularly, rasgulla, gulab jamun, kaju katli, rasmalai, bombay halwa, kaju pista roll and mysore pak recipe
I tasted this back home in India, but I remember the wrapper being a pale green color with creamy khoya/ mawa in the center and a cute little clove right in the middle
