Onion masala is a very delicious and easy to make side dish for chapati ,poori,appam, dosa etc. For making any side dish or gravy generally we first saute onion, tomatoes ,ginger garlic paste ,masala spices and then add veggies or water etc so this masala is just that sans the veggies ,we are just using the onion masala itself as a side dish and trust me it tastes divine
